Managing and Viewing Driver Notifications

Drivers have access to a notification center within the Driver App that displays all received notifications with actions to manage them.

Accessing Notifications

Tap the Bell icon in the Driver App header

The notification list opens showing all notifications

Unread notifications are highlighted

Unread count badge shows on the bell icon

Notification List Display

Each notification shows:

Title: Summary of the notification

Body: Detailed message content

Timestamp: When the notification was created

Type: Category icon (job, schedule, etc.)

Read Status: Visual indicator for unread items

Marking Notifications as Read

Single Notification:

Tap on a notification to view it

It's automatically marked as read

Unread count decrements

All Notifications:

Look for "Mark All as Read" option

Tap to mark all notifications as read

Unread badge is cleared

Deleting Notifications

To remove a notification:

Find the delete option (trash icon or swipe action)

Confirm deletion if prompted

The notification is permanently removed

Notification Polling

The notification system:

Checks for new notifications every 30 seconds

Updates the unread count automatically

Refreshes the list when you open it

Notification Data

Each notification includes:

`id`: Unique identifier

`title`: Display title

`body`: Message content

`notification_type`: Category

`created_at`: Timestamp

`read_at`: When read (null if unread)

`related_entity_id`: Link to job/route/etc.

`related_entity_type`: Type of linked entity

Tapping a notification may navigate you to:

The related job detail

The schedule view for that date

The relevant section based on notification type
