Configure default notes and terms that automatically apply to new quotes and invoices.

Accessing Notes/Terms Settings

Navigate to Quotes & Invoices

Click the Notes/Terms tab

Configure defaults for quotes and invoices

Quote Defaults

Default Notes: Auto-applied to new quotes

Default Terms: Standard terms for quotes

Invoice Defaults

Default Notes: Auto-applied to new invoices

Default Terms: Payment terms for invoices

Setting Defaults

Select document type (Quote or Invoice)

Enter default notes text

Enter default terms text

Click Save Defaults

How Defaults Work

When creating new documents:

System checks for defaults

If notes field is empty, default applies

If terms are standard, default applies

Indicator shows "auto-applied"

Overriding Defaults

You can always:

Edit the auto-applied text

Replace with custom content

Clear and leave empty

Pre-Saved Notes Library

In addition to defaults, use pre-saved notes:

Click Pre-Saved Notes

Select from template library

Insert into current document
