Understanding Wizard Validation
Each step in the 8-step wizard must be completed correctly before you can proceed. The system validates required fields and logical consistency at each step.
Step-by-Step Error Resolution
Step 1: Customer Selection
Error: "Please select a customer or add a prospect"
- Click on a customer from the list to select them
- In Quote mode, you can also use "Quick Add Prospect" if the customer doesn't exist yet
- A blue highlight indicates the selected customer
Step 2: Job Type & Scheduling
Error: "Please select a job type"
Error: "Please select a scheduled date"
Error: "Please specify rental duration (minimum 1 day or 1 hour)"
Error: "Hours must be 23 or less when using hourly billing"
Step 3: Location Selection
Error: Missing street or city address
- Select an existing service location from the customer's saved addresses
- Or manually enter a complete address with street and city
Step 5: Products & Inventory
Error: "All selected quantities must be greater than 0"
Error: "Please allocate inventory quantities for your scheduled pickup jobs"
Step 6: Services & Frequency
Error: "Please select at least one service for a service job"
