How Team Chat Notifications Work
In-App Notifications (Bell Icon):

Setting Notification Preferences
Per-channel settings:
- All Messages: Notified on everything
- Mentions Only: Only @mentions and DMs
- Muted: No notifications from this channel
Recommended setup for most operators:
Online Presence (Who's Active)
Green dot next to a name = that person is currently active in PortaPro (desktop or mobile).
No dot or grey = offline or inactive.

Note: Online presence is NOT a read receipt. It shows the app is open, not that they read your specific message. If you need confirmation, use @mention or start a Huddle.
Driver Mobile Experience
Drivers access Team Chat from the bottom navigation bar on their mobile device:
Everything available on desktop is available on mobile same channels, same DMs, same huddle capability.
Typing Indicators
When someone is composing a message, you'll see "[Name] is typing…" at the bottom of the chat in real-time. Helps prevent double-messaging when someone is already responding.
