If you're experiencing issues with notifications or alerts in Jobs & Dispatch, this guide helps diagnose and resolve common problems.

Issue: Overdue Badge Not Appearing

Possible causes and solutions:

Timezone Mismatch: Check company timezone configuration

Job Status: Completed/cancelled jobs don't show overdue

Date Calculation: Verify the scheduled date is in the past

Browser Cache: Hard refresh the page

Issue: Push Notifications Not Received

Check browser notification permissions

Verify PWA is installed correctly

Ensure notification preferences are enabled

Check internet connectivity

Review service worker registration status

Issue: Toast Notifications Not Appearing

Check for JavaScript errors in console

Verify the Toaster component is in the layout

Ensure toast limit hasn't been reached

Try a different browser

Issue: Notification Badge Count is Wrong

Refresh the page to resync

Check for network connectivity issues

Verify polling is active (30-second intervals)

Clear browser cache and reload

Issue: Driver Not Receiving Job Assignment Alerts

Verify driver has enabled Job Assignments in preferences

Check that the driver's profile is correctly linked

Ensure the organization ID matches

Review edge function logs for errors

Issue: "Was Overdue" Badge Showing Incorrectly

The `was_overdue` database flag may be set

This flag persists even after rescheduling

This is intentional for tracking purposes

Badge only shows when job is NOT currently overdue

Checking Notification Logs

For administrators, notification logs can be reviewed to:

Verify notifications were sent

Check delivery status

Identify failed notifications

Troubleshoot specific user issues
