Use Contact PortaPro Support inside the app: the headset icon on a computer, or Contact PortaPro Support in the menu on your phone. It attaches a picture of the screen you were on, and our reply shows up in the app as well as in your email.

PortaPro Field Operations is the mobile app for drivers and technicians, available for iPhone and Android. It works with a PortaPro Software account.

Getting an account

New to PortaPro? Any portable sanitation, septic or roll-off business can start a free trial. Joining an existing company? Ask your company admin to send you an invite, then sign in with the email it was sent to.

Trouble signing in

• Use the same email and password you use for PortaPro on a computer.
• Signed up with Google? Enter that email on the sign-in screen and continue. We'll email you a sign-in code.
• Forgot your password? Choose Forgot password on the sign-in screen.
• Still stuck? Submit a support request and tell us the email you sign in with.

Permissions the app asks for

• Camera: to photograph completed work and scan unit QR codes and barcodes.
• Location: only while you're using the app, to record where a service was done. Denying it never blocks your work.
• Notifications: to tell you when a job is assigned to you or your route changes.
• Microphone: for the walkie-talkie and for dictating messages, only when you use them.
• Face ID or Touch ID: optional, to lock the app when you step away.

You can change any of these later in your phone's Settings.

PortaPro can send email through your own Gmail, Google Workspace, Outlook or Microsoft 365 account, so invoices, quotes and replies come from your address. Connecting an account is optional; PortaPro works fully without one.

What PortaPro can do with Gmail

PortaPro asks Google only for permission to send email on your behalf. It cannot read your inbox, and it only sends email you write or approve in PortaPro, or an automation you set up there. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The details are in section 11 of our Privacy Policy.

Disconnect an email account

• In PortaPro: Settings, then Email Accounts, then Disconnect.
• Or remove PortaPro's access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Either way, PortaPro stops sending through that account right away.
